Pipile pipile - Trinidad Piping-Guan
The "Pawi" is endemic to Trinidad. Hunting has severely reduced the total population of birds and they are now mostly confined to remote areas of the Northern Range. The southern "Pawi" population is believed to still exist in the Trinity Hills. Photograph by Dave Smith.
